Our Services
Septic Pumping:Wisconsin is home to various types of septic systems. These include conventional, mound, at-grade, in-ground pressure, and experimental systems. For a detailed description as to how each system works: We service each system and each service includes a pumping of the septic tank and pump chamber (if present), cleaning of filter (if present) and thorough inspection of system including the baffles, pump and floats (if present), drainfield, and bacteria life. We also will be more than happy to take the time and answer any questions that you may have because we know maintaining your system begins with you. Knowledge of your system will help you care for it. With ample hose for further reaches, we guarantee no lawn damage. For additional information on What a Septic System Is, How It Works (in detail), Helpful Advice to Keep Your Septic System Working Efficiently, Myths and False Facts About Septic Systems, and Helpful Hints in Caring For Your System Download the following PDF courtesy of Kuettel's Septic. |

Holding Tank Pumping:These are large tanks varying in size that are used to contain water and waste in areas that are not able to have a drainfield. When the tank fills up it needs to be pumped out. We service both commercial and residential holding tanks, and our large capacity trucks enable us to service tanks of all sizes with “special holding tank pumping rates.” |
|
Grease Traps:Most restaurants or service stations where food is prepared for purchase will have a "grease trap" which needs servicing. As dishes are cleaned, the water and grease/food off of the dishes goes down the drain. However this grease can cause real problems in sewer lines and treatment plants as it does not break down easily. A grease trap is designed to capture the grease/food and allow the water to continue draining into the sewer. These traps come in different sizes ranging from small ones within the kitchen, or large tanks in the ground outside the building. We service both the exterior and interior grease traps. Maintenance schedules are available to have these done on a regular basis. Some townships require paperwork submitted by the facility to show these traps are being serviced regularly. We handle all the paperwork for you! We have a computer program designed to track and record all services accurately which makes for easy reporting. |
|
Floor Pits/Catch Basins:These are pits designed to catch sand, grit, and other debris before entering sewer systems. Found commonly in service or maintenance shops, these pits need occasional cleaning to remove the sediment that builds up. Some townships require yearly maintenance. With our specially equipped hoist truck, we are able to clean these pits thoroughly and dispose of the waste. Competitive prices that include the submitting of paper work to proper townships if required. |

Car Washes:Car washes have large tanks located within the floor of a the bay that is designed to collect the sediment removed from cars in a wash cycle. With our hoist truck , we are able to service car wash pits and dispose of waste. Competitive pricing. If you have a type of waste not listed in which you need serviced, feel free to call and inquire. Our six tanker trucks are built and designed to handle all your needs. *At Kuettel's Septic Service, all of our waste is disposed of legally according to Wisconsin DNR regulations ensuring that we are doing our part to be environmentally friendly and safe. |

Water JettingKuettel's Septic Service provides both commercial and residential sewer and drainfield cleaning. What is the purpose of water jetting? As time goes by, the piping that transfers waste throughout a septic system, or from your home to the city sewer, can become plugged. This is due to many things such as abuse of the system, build up from age, tree roots, as well as other random occurrences. If problems such as these occur, water can not flow through the lines as easily, if at all, causing back up. With the use of our state-of-the-art water jetter, we are able to clear these blockages. A water jetter sends high pressure water through specially designed tips to clear the blockage and wash the lines clean. The tips spray at various angles pulling the hose down the line removing the blockage as it does. As the hose is pulled back, the backwards flow of water washes the removed debris from the line. With these different tips we can clean just about anything such as grease, sewage, roots, scale build up, sand and grit, cow manure, and more. With different sizes of hose, we are able to clean various sizes of lines including drainfields, grease trap lines, sewer lines, manure pit lines and other various applications. Licensed for confined space entry coupled with the proper safety equipment, we ensure the job gets done correctly and safely. |

Baffle Replacement:A baffle is a barrier or shield in front of the inlet and outlet holes in the tank. Made from concrete, PVC, or plastic, these shields are vital to proper operating of the tank. The inlet baffle, sitting half in and half out of the water, is designed to deflect incoming waste down into the tank so as not to agitate the tank. This causes settled sewage to rise, flow out of the tank, and plug the drainfield. The outlet baffle, also sitting half in and half out of the water, is designed so as to allow water to flow under and out of the tankwithout allowing the floating paper and waste to leave the tank. One of the main causes of lines clogging in septic tanks is a missing baffle within the tank. This problem can be solved with the installation of PVC or plastic replacement baffles. At each servicing of your septic system it is our routine to visually inspect each baffle to make sure they are intact and doing their job! If not, we will notify you immediately so we can get it replaced before more damage is done. |

Video Inspection:At times problems may require a visual inspection of a line where our TV inspection equipment is used to allow us to camera lines and record findings on a DVD. |

Tank Sealing:As tanks age, especially those made of steel, they can deteriorate and form holes in which ground water may enter the tank. Instead of full replacement of the tank, we are able to seal these problem areas. |

Riser Installation:Tired of digging your cover? How about replanting your lawn after it’s pumped each time? We have the solution! We offer concrete and plastic extensions to get your cover closer to the surface or above, your preference. Concrete risers come in 1 foot sections and are adhered together with a water tight concrete sealant. These risers are great for stability through the winters frost, but can become quite heavy for weaker or deeper tanks. The poly risers come in 6 inch or 1 foot sections. These risers connect together with screws that pinch together the gasket between each riser for a water tight seal. They are green in color, making them a little more pleasing to the eye. They are also light, making them not as strenuous on deep or weak tanks. The average install iIncludes:
Some may not care for the look of a cover above the ground. Don't worry! Be creative! Our installation will bring the cover up to code, from there it is up to your imagination. You can paint it, landscape around it, put something on, anything you want. One great idea can be found in our products section. Fake rocks fit nicely over the covers making them vanish, yet easily accessible. Don’t like the plain concrete look? |

Filter Cleaning and Cartridge Replacement:As regulations change in the septic industry, changes are constantly being made to enhance the performance of the system. One big change was the filter. In new systems today, the traditional outlet baffle is removed and replaced with a filter. This filter enhances the protection of your drainfield by filtering the water as it leaves the tank trapping small solids from flowing into the drainfield which can cause plugging. Like any filter though, these filters need to be cleaned frequently to ensure your system functions properly. Depending on the make and size of your filter, we suggest cleaning your filter at least once or twice a year. We offer a filter cleaning maintenance schedule based on your particular need of cleaning. Also, being made of plastic, these filters can occasionally break. If this happens, we can fix, or we furnish all types of replacement cartridges. |

Mound Flushing:Proper drainage of a septic systems drainfield is essential for it to work. As time passes, small solids and other particles inevitably make their way through the system and into the mound. These particles plug up the holes in the piping that is running through your mound. When this happens, water can no longer drain as easily through the pipe as it now has a smaller area to go through. If not taken care of, this can cause many problems. Sewage can begin to push out of your mound on the surface and sides as these are the only places to go. Your pump inside the pump chamber of your tank is forced to work harder and longer as it tries to push water through smaller areas. This can cause it to run for long periods of time, sometimes not even shutting off, using more electricity and even burning up and needing replacing. Water jetting can clean these lines out if they become plugged. However a great way to prevent this problem is through a mound flushing. Mound systems are designed with flush ports that allow us to open the ends of the lines within the mound and by manually running your pump, we flush any build up out of the system. This is a very good process to have done occasionally for maintenance purposes. |
